Degree requirements

Master’s Degree Graduation Requirements

• 1) Credits required for graduation: 30 credits - a total of 10 courses, 2 credits for research
• 2) Curriculum: At least 2 of the common compulsory courses and at least 1 of the compulsory majors for each area must be completed. (If you major in social service or social policy, you must complete the BK in-depth course)
• 3) Qualifications for submitting a thesis:
  
  
  • A. Foreign language (English): You can apply from the first semester, and a score of 60 or more out of 100 is considered a pass. However, those who have obtained TOEFL score of 530, TOEIC score of 780 or higher, and TEPS score of 664 or higher can pass by submitting the language test alternative accreditation (however, this option is considered valid as of the date of submission of the substitute certificate of language test)
  • B. Comprehensive major exam: For exam subjects, the 3 subjects that the student is to complete should be selected after discussing with the advisor, and a passing score of 80 or more out of 100 points for each subject is considered a pass.

Doctoral Degree Graduation Requirements

• 1) Credits required for graduation: 30 credits in a total of 10 courses, 4 credits in major research
• 2) Curriculum: 1 common compulsory course and 1 or more of the compulsory major courses must be completed. (If you major in social service or social policy, you must complete BK in-depth course)
• 3) Qualification test for dissertation submission:
  
  
  • A. Foreign language (English): You can apply from the first semester and on, and a score of 60 or more out of 100 is considered a pass. However, those who have obtained TOEFL score of 530, TOEIC score of 780 or higher, and TEPS score of 664 or higher are considered to have passed by submitting a substitute certificate of language test (however, this option is considered valid as of the date of submission of the substitute certificate of language test)
  • B. Major Examination: For the comprehensive examination subjects for the doctoral degree program, 4 subjects from among the subjects specified in the curriculum must be selected after discussing with the advisor; 1 common compulsory subject and 3 major elective subjects must be included, and each subject must be scored out of 100. A score of 80 or higher is considered pass.
  • C. Area Statement: Under the guidance of an advisor, you must submit a research paper that systematically summarizes the problem understanding and theory in the relevant field and recent research trends. This must be done before the doctoral proposal, and the acceptance of the major field research is decided with the consent of three judges.
  • D. Two or more major papers must be published in domestic and foreign specialized academic journals (more than that of academic journals) and pass the thesis proposal image.
